On the fifth day of your Kerala tour, we will drive you from Kumarakom to Kovalam. The journey takes approximately 6.5 hours, during which you can enjoy the stunning views of the countryside. Once you reach Kovalam, check in at Hotel Sagara beach resort, where you will be staying in a palace sea view room.

Today, we will take you on a tour of Kovalam and Trivandrum. After breakfast, we will start with a visit to the iconic Lighthouse Beach, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kovalam. You can enjoy swimming, surfing, sunbathing or just relaxing on the beach. Next, we will take you to the Halcyon Castle, a former royal palace that has now been converted into a heritage hotel. You can take a tour of the palace and admire the stunning architecture and interiors. After that, we will drive you to Trivandrum, the capital city of Kerala. Here, we will visit the famous Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a magnificent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. We will also take you to the Napier Museum and Art Gallery, which houses a vast collection of ancient artefacts and artwork.

After a fulfilling day of sightseeing, return to your hotel in Kovalam and enjoy a relaxing evening overlooking the sea.

Day 7: Kovalam & Trivandrum sightseeing After breakfast at the hotel, you will proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Kovalam and Trivandrum. Kovalam is a small coastal town famous for its pristine beaches, serene backwaters, and Ayurvedic spas. You will visit the famous lighthouse beach, Hawa beach, and Samudra beach, all of which offer breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. You can also indulge in water sports like surfing, parasailing, and jet skiing at these beaches. Later, you will visit the Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Trivandrum, which is one of the most revered Hindu temples in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is known for its intricate architecture and massive idol of the deity. Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the temple, but you can admire the beauty of the temple complex from outside.

Day 8: Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam On day 8, you will be taken on a day trip to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India. After breakfast at your hotel in Kovalam, you will be driven to Kanyakumari, which is about a 3-hour drive from Kovalam. Kanyakumari is a coastal town known for its beautiful beaches, picturesque landscapes, and cultural heritage. It is also known as the "Land's End" of India, as it is located at the southernmost tip of the Indian subcontinent. Here, you can visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, which is built on a rock in the middle of the sea and is dedicated to the famous Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda. You can also visit the Thiruvalluvar Statue, which is the statue of the famous Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. After exploring Kanyakumari, you will return to your hotel in Kovalam for an overnight stay.
